  • EarnMil is intended for users in the United States only.

This summary is for convenience only and is not part of the agreement. The full text below controls.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Synlixa LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Synlixa," "we," "us," or "our"), handles information in connection with the EarnMil website and application (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

2. Scope

The Service is intended for users located in the United States. We do not target or knowingly offer the Service to individuals outside the United States.

3. Information we do NOT collect

We have deliberately built EarnMil to avoid collecting sensitive personal identifiers. We do not ask for or collect:

  • your legal name;
  • your Social Security Number (SSN);
  • your DoD ID, EDIPI, or CAC number;
  • your MyPay or other government login credentials;
  • your bank account or full payment-card numbers (these go directly to our payment processor).

4. Information we do collect

We collect only what we need to run the Service:

  • Account information: your email address, used to create and secure your account (via our authentication provider, Supabase).
  • Calculator inputs: the planning details you choose to enter, such as pay grade/rank, time in service, branch, duty location or ZIP, and number of dependents. These describe a situation, not an identified person.
  • Subscription information: plan, status, and billing events from our payment processor (Stripe). We receive confirmation of payments but not your full card details.
  • Usage and analytics data: pages viewed, features used, and similar product-analytics events (via PostHog), used to understand and improve the Service.
  • Device and log data: IP address, approximate (city/region) location derived from IP, browser type, and similar technical information automatically generated when you use the Service.
  • Cookies and local storage: used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure usage. See Section 7.

5. How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide, operate, secure, and maintain the Service;
  • create your account and authenticate you;
  • process subscriptions and prevent fraud (through our payment processor);
  • generate estimates from the inputs you provide;
  • analyze and improve features, performance, and reliability;
  • communicate with you about the Service; and
  • comply with law and enforce our Terms.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers / processors that help us run the Service, under contract and only as needed — for example Supabase (authentication and database), Stripe (payments), PostHog (analytics), and Vercel (hosting).
  • Benefit partners and third-party sites when you choose to click through to them. Once you leave the Service, the third party's own privacy practices apply.
  • Legal and safety reasons, where we believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Service.
  • Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

7. Cookies, analytics, targeted advertising, and your choices

We and our analytics provider use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service and measure usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.

Some state laws treat certain analytics or advertising-related data sharing as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or as processing for “targeted advertising,” even when no money changes hands. You have the right to opt out of any such activity. We honor recognized universal opt-out mechanisms, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by your browser; when we detect a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising for that browser.

8. Sensitive information

We do not seek out special categories of sensitive personal information. Although calculator inputs such as rank, time in service, or dependents may relate to your military service, we do not use them to infer protected characteristics, and we do not sell or share them for cross-context targeted advertising. We process them only to provide the Service to you.

9. Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

10. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under your state's privacy law (for example, California's CCPA/CPRA, as well as the laws of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Florida, Oregon, and other states). These may include the rights to:

  • know and access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • delete your personal information;
  • obtain a portable copy of your personal information;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising; and
  • not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

12. How to exercise your rights

To exercise any of these rights, email us at synlixa@pm.me. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We may need to verify your request using the email associated with your account, and you may use an authorized agent where the law permits. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response; where available, you may also contact your state attorney general.

13. Deleting your account

You can request deletion of your account and associated information at any time through your account settings or by emailing synlixa@pm.me. Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

14. Children's privacy

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

15. Third-party sites

The Service may link to sites and services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.

16. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will indicate changes by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, by additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
